Where the Money Goes
The largest part of our annual budget is our management contract, but maintenance and repairs also gobble up huge chunks of cash.
On September 1, 2006, Tropical Storm Ernesto blew over a tree next to our front fence, causing considerable damage to the fence and gates. Richard’s Tree Service had the tree removed by noon the following day, and we later had the fence repaired.
We had a standing water problem around our restrooms, and county inspectors told us to install drains to address the problem. The drain of the outside shower was corroded and needed replacement. Both problems were addressed together.
Part of the concrete next to the baby pool had sunk, causing a tripping hazard, and the cover for the skimmer would not stay in place. Both were replaced.
